The idea for this blog came about during (I am sad to say) a ranting and raving conversation with one of my girl friends about being single. A guy I had just met had asked me out in the most inconvenient way. My ever-so encouraging friend recommended that I start keeping track of my ridiculous stories of being single. Hence the idea for Simply Single was born. The first idea for this blog was that I did not want it to be a place of "man bashing" and bitterness. I desire for Simply Single to be a place of encouragement for the single gal: a place to share our funny stories and never-ending comments of to why we are not married yet. Why the name Simply Single? There are many reasons to why we are single such as " I am focusing on my career" or "Just haven't found the right one yet.” These may all be valid reasons, but when it comes down to it we are simply single - no buts or ifs. An awesome idea and one that I will enjoy reading about! I really like your blog title. I feel that often people try to qualify statements with some sort of explanation or excuse, etc.; especially when it comes to relationship status as you mentioned. It is what it is...nothing more, nothing less and there is nothing wrong with that. I'm looking forward to reading your musings, stories, etc. as well as those of others. Good luck and happy writing!
